Covering ski jump hills with plastic matting makes training as well as competition possible all year round. Summer ski jumping tournaments have recently gained much popularity in Central Europe, Scandinavia and the Far East. It is only a matter of time when an EVERSLIDE hill will be the venue for the World Championships in summer ski jumping.

EVERSLIDE hills also bring new opportunities to sports event marketing. We can manufacture hill elements with special logos or texts. Selling this very visible advertising space enables ski clubs to get partial financing for their ski jump hill investments. The logos are produced in large elements that are very simple to install on the hill. Areas in existing plastic mattings can also later be exchanged for logo elements. Please contact us and ask for more information on tailored advertising space solutions.

The EVERSLIDE Team at C.E. Lindgren can assist you with the planning of the plastic matting including the choice of the right substructure and sprinkling system.

The installation is very simple to do; no skilled people or special tools are needed. By special arrangement we can also provide onsite installation supervision and thus ensure the correct operation of your EVERSLIDE products. The installation instructions are available at this site.

In the landing area the EVERSLIDE plastic matting system can be installed on a concrete or wooden substructure or on an compacted and even natural ground.

A polyethene foam mat with closed cells is placed on the substructure. This makes the installation flexible. The mat has a thickness of 20 mm and a density of 28 kg/m3. A polypropylene fastening net is placed on the foam mat. The mesh size of the net is 65 * 65 mm.

The net and the foam mat are fastened to the substructure with a galvanized perforated steel band and anchor bolts or screws. The elements and the safety plates are then fastened to the net with cable ties.

A safety plate is included in all EVERSLIDE deliveries. It makes skijumping significantly safer by preventing the jumperīs skis or fingers  from getting caught into the fastening net if the jumper falls.

The EVERSLIDE ski jump hill elements are made of polypropylene, which has proven to be the most durable and best gliding artificial surface material for ski jump hills. During manufacturing protective substances are added improving the resistance against frost and U.V. radiation. The size of an individual element is 0,5 m * 1,0 m. The standard colour is green with red and blue elements for the K- and P-markings and white elements for the distance markings and fall line. The weight of each element is 3,1 kg including the safety plate.

Lindgren offers two inrun track alternatives.

EVERSLIDE Fibre Track is an inrun track consisting of overlapping fibre elements that are shaped during production to form ski tracks.

The EVERSLIDE Snow Block Net is produced from plaited polypropylene rope with a 18 mm diameter. The upper edge is  made of 24 mm rope. The standard mesh size is 350 * 350 mm, other mesh sizes are available on request. The standard colour is blue.

The net is layed horizontally over the landing area. The net has a standard width of 4,2 meters. The length will be tailored to fit the size of the landing area at the place where the piece of net is to be installed.

The nets are easy to install and remove by manual power. No cranes are needed.

The nets are fastened with clasp hooks in anchor bolts or loops embedded in the concrete substructure or in bolts fastened to the wood substructure.

C.E. Lindgren will assist with finding the right solution and, if needed, will dimension the fastenings for the EVERSLIDE Snow Block System.
